| Mobile GSM is now a matured technology as many operators have joined the race. This has made the job of operator to serve their subscribers more challenging. Now let us consider a situation in which a new subscriber wants to have a mobile connection. He goes to the operator and get a new SIM, as soon as he gets the SIM, he is most curious to use it as soon as possible. Now if the operator takes lot of undesirable time to activate the SIM(due to delays in processing as may be he is using manual processing method to activate the SIM), there are two major negative factors – first one for himself by loosing the usage revenue and second by annoying the subscriber for not allowing him to use the services for which he has already paid. The proposed software solution address the above mention problem called as “Activation via SMS(AVS)”. |

Receive SMS from SMSC for activation/deactivation requests from predefined valid dealers/users. |

Dealer profile having name, mobile number, date of creation of profile, status should be possible. The customer should be able to disable/enable the profile. |

Activate the requested mobile number in the switch which are already created in the suspend mode. |

Keep record of incoming SMS as well as status of processed request in the Switch. |

Recharge the voucher of predefined value which are submitted in the system in terms of PINS. ( Means on successful activation in switch it will automatically recharge the mobile number with the corresponding pin number the IN ]. |

The mobile numbers are assumed already loaded in IN as pre active
state and PINs with predefined values are also available in the AVS
system by the customer, as it will be possible to submit the pins in the
AVS system which will be used for the recharge purpose.
As a practical approach not all the requests for activation of new mobile connection will come via SMS in such a situation the proposed AVS system will also have a option to activating the mobile number by entering/ submitting the series of mobile number or a particular number. The speed of the recharge and activation is always depend upon the response time of switch SMSC & IN ESM. |
